Mission
The mission of the Asia Pacific Roundtable for Sustainable Consumption and Production is to foster dialog among industry, government, academia, and non-government organizations in the region to address sustainable consumption and production issues. Its goals include:
- Promoting information exchange among its members through newsletters, e-mail list servers, technical journals, special publications, conferences, and symposia.
- Conducting training sessions, workshops, and possible staff exchanges to increase the skills and knowledge of members and other interested parties.
- Acting as a clearinghouse for the exchange of data and information on cleaner production in the Asia Pacific region, including reports, books, articles, data, and statistics.
- Developing and maintaining a directory of professionals involved in the promotion of cleaner production who are available to provide advice and counsel.
- Assembling qualified and objective committees and working groups that can provide competent and objective analyses on policy reforms and initiatives and other priority issues.
- Supporting the development of new country-level production roundtables and fostering sharing of information and experience among existing and planned country-level cleaner production roundtables.
- Strengthening relationships among APRSCP, its members, and appropriate regional and international organizations.
