InWEnt – Internationale Weiterbildung und Entwicklung gemeinnützige GmbH ( Capacity Building International, Germany ) is an organization for international human resources development, advanced training and dialogue. It was established through a merger of Carl Duisberg Gesellschaft e.V. ( CDG ) and the German Foundation for International Development ( DSE ).

Goals and Objectives

Under the principles of the Agenda 21 action program, sustainable development has been the guiding vision for all development and training activities of CDG and DSE, for more than 40 years. Through the maerger of both institutions, InWEnt was established in 2002, as thelead organization for international human development and dialogue.

InWEnt's practice-based and practice-oriented programs fro international training and exchange target experts, managers, executives and decision-makers from business and industry, from public adminsitration, and civil society.

InWEnt's Commitment

  • Promote sustainable social, economic, and ecological development.
  • Qualify junior managers and executives as agents for change and development worldwide.
  • Support global structural changes for sustainable livelihoods, and
  • Enhance global policy dialogue and international peace building

InWEnt's Program Areas

InWEnt is a German-based organization for international training and exchange, human resources development and capacity building for sustainable development. Its programs focus on:

  • Advanced training of experts, managers and executives from developing and transformation countries.
  • International exchange on development strategies and policies.
  • Development training and awareness raising in Germany and other parts of Europe.
  • Orientation of German professionals for development cooperation
  • Policy dialogue within international partner networks.

InWEnt's Main Types of Programs

  • Training programs both in Germeny and in forcus regions and partner countries
  • Workplace-based training courses with companies, public institutions, service and consultancy units.
  • Seminars, workshops and conferences.
  • Individual tarining and internships around the world.
  • Expert visits and study tours and
  • Internet-based learning ("e-learning") with the "Global Campus 21".
